This summer I went on a little adventure to Central Florida where we zip lined in the man made canyons of Ocala, Florida.
I had a blast! This was my second time enjoying the beautiful scenery.
I started off gearing up with our helmets, harness, & gloves. They went over throughly what I should expect. I was super excited. For our first zip we headed to a small practice zip line to practice all the correct hand gestures and emergency maneuvers.
As we moved through the different zip lines, we kept getting higher and higher. We hiked up several different stairs and hills, it was exhilarating! Before we knew it we were up high above the tree horizon over 200ft off the ground.
When we looked down all we could see was a lake full of water and canyons surrounding beneath us. I already knew we were going to have to zip down (there was literally no where else to go) but the look on my boyfriend's face was priceless. This was my favorite part of the adventure we were on together. I was the last to go down the drop up above the water. Whenever you are zip lining to go faster you have to lean back. Well, I forgot to lean and when I zip lined to the last stop I fell just a little short and I had to pull myself back to the others at the end of our journey (picture of me in the action). For anyone visiting the Ocala, Florida area I would highly recommend taking some time to go on your own adventure and go zip lining with the wonderful team at The Canyon Zip Line & Canopy Tours!
