Stay positive and look on the bright side: There are 6 tips I will go over that can help keep you sane, stay in control of your schedule, and meet all your obligations.
Check them out!
1. Define your Schedule & Plan Ahead:
Preparing a well-defined schedule is the easiest way to stay on top of all your commitments when you have a lot going on. Always plan for the unexpected!
I suggest plan, plan, plan. Plan your day, plan your week, and plan your month. Start with planning the most time consuming duty, which will probably be school or work. Then plan around school and work, figure out when you can plan social activities.
The more you map your work, school, and social commitments in advance the more you'll have a sense of the big picture.
2. Cluster your Commitments:
Look for class times and work/intern opportunities that allow you to group commitments and focus on what's most important at the moment.
3. Focus on the Moment:
When you have a lot going on, its easy to get overwhelmed and jump from task to task, never really getting anything done.
Make sure to keep your mind clear and focused on whatever you are doing at that moment. When you're with your family, focus on your family. When you're working, focus on your job duty.
4. Use Time Gaps Wisely:
Whenever you have time in your bust schedule use that time wisely. For example: if you're waiting at an appointment make sure you have that book with you, you have to read for English class.
5. Manage Expectations with Open Communicate:
The more open you are with your employers about your schedule needs the happier everyone will be. For example: if you need to be at class right after work, let your employer know you're unable to stay late.
6. Take time for yourself
If you're like me you try to fit so much in your schedule where sometimes you don't have time for yourself. This is something I need to work on. Trying to just get into bed an hour earlier can help yourself, and help you feel more energized.
Working out is also a great activity that helps relieve stress, make time for yourself, and keep you going. Don't forget to balance your time!
